Finishing as the Class 4A state runner-up is an incredible achievement, and your hard work, determination, and team spirit have made this season unforgettable. You played with heart every step of the way, and you’ve made your school and community incredibly proud!
The East Noble High School Football team took part in a special sendoff ahead of their State Championship game this Friday with the younger students at South Side Elementary this afternoon. The event was a thrilling experience for the elementary students, who were excited to send their well wishes to the players. As the team goes into the biggest game of the season, they not only inspire their peers but also foster school spirit and unity across the community.
This morning, Avilla Elementary School's Kindergarten and 1st grade students brought the holiday spirit to life with their very own balloon parade, inspired by the famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! The young students worked hard creating colorful balloons to showcase in the parade for the office staff.
Today, South Side Elementary is celebrating the beginning Thanksgiving break with a fun-filled day of activities for all the students! From crafting turkey decorations, thanksgiving themed games, and more! It has been a great day for the students and staff to have fun and enjoy time together before they are off for Thanksgiving.

Today, it was the 2nd annual Turkey Trot at North Side Elementary for the Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th graders. Students were partnered with another student and walked a half marathon within the school to various cone markers. At those cone markers, students were tasked to complete a math problem at that location. Once it was completed and checked by the teacher, or a North Side Honor Society student from 5th grade, they proceeded to the next. It was a great exercise for the students to discuss their problems with their fellow classmates and learn how to work together to get the right answer.
Today, Rome City Elementary held a special Squad Day, with creative activities throughout the school focused Thanksgiving. Students participated in engaging lessons and hands-on projects. All the activities were a fun and creative way for the students to work as a team in their squads.
On Friday afternoon, Wayne Center Elementary School ended their week by cheering on staff members as part of their House Day who took part in their Turkey Bowl! Before the Turkey Bowl, some staff members were sorted into one of the four houses. Next, students from each class were celebrated and recognized for going above and beyond as the student of the month, and then some students from each grade were selected to see who could give out the best turkey call. Finally, students cheered on staff members who represented one of the four tiger houses within Wayne Center in an intense, wild time of Turkey Bowl!

Congratulations to Avilla Elementary School Nurse Robin Stirlen on being recognized as 2023-2024 School Nurse of the Year at the Indiana Association of School Nurses Conference! Here she is pictured on the left receiving the award. Her dedication, compassion, and tireless commitment to the health and well-being of students has truly made a difference. This well-deserved recognition is a testament to the positive impact she has every day.
The National Honor Society Chapter from East Noble High School each year sponsors a basket for the Thanksgiving Basket Brigade. What is special this year is the students decided to go ahead and sponsor a second basket. Within two days, the students collected food donations, and also collected a ham, turkey and pumpkin pies for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
We would like to recognize and congratulate Anita Zollars from Avilla Elementary School on her completion of their Science of Reading course! Anita's time and dedication in completing her course through her busy schedule shows her commitment to enhancing the educational experiences of her students. Congratulations on this achievement!
Today, Rome City Elementary held their Trimester Awards. Parents throughout the community came out to support and celebrate their student's achievement. Many received awards ranging in many different categories this trimester for the learning curriculum, and we are extremely proud of all of the students who pushed through and achieved greatness this past trimester! Congratulations to everyone who was recognized, you all are truly deserving of your academic achievements!
Today, 8th graders from East Noble Middle School attended Jounier Achievement Job Spark at the Fort Wayne Coliseum. Job Spark provides students with an in-depth, hands-on opportunity to analyze and implement different aspects of various career choices. Students were able to freely move from career section to career section looking at a variety of unique careers that maybe some of them have never thought about.
East Noble Food Service Department has some exciting things happening in the month of November at Avilla Elementary School, North Side Elementary, Rome City Elementary, South Side Elementary, Wayne Center Elementary School, East Noble Middle School, and East Noble High School for lunch and breakfast! National School Psychology Awareness Week is a time to recognize the vital role school psychologists play in fostering healthy, supportive learning environments.
School psychologists work alongside educators, parents, and students to across Avilla Elementary School, North Side Elementary, Rome City Elementary, South Side Elementary, Wayne Center Elementary School, East Noble Middle School, and East Noble High School to provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support for students facing various challenges. They help create safe and inclusive school communities, promote positive mental health, and ensure that every student has the tools to succeed both academically and emotionally.
This week, let's take a moment to appreciate the dedication of school psychologists and raise awareness about the critical role they play in shaping the well-being and future of our students.
Yesterday afternoon, East Noble Middle School held their Veterans Day Ceremony in the gymnasium. Veterans across the community were invited to be recognized and thanked for their service and sacrifice protecting this country. East Noble Middle School National Honor Society students spoke throughout the ceremony on the history of Veterans Day, and the importance of this day. Indiana Army National Guard Captain Jarrod Phillips was the guest speaker and gave an inspiring speech to the audience. A special video presentation was shown thanking veterans who have a relation to either a student or staff member within the school corporation. It was a beautiful ceremony honoring the great men and women who have served and protected our country.
