
In STEM this week, students are learning about chemical reactions. Today, kindergarten students explored using baking soda and vinegar. My favorite saying, "It's like I am a scientist!"

Shout out to Officer Sidney. Mrs Owens had many concerned second graders today. They found a cute little green worm in the class and Officer Sidney rescued it!

Our PTO is doing an amazing job getting the carnival ready. We can't wait for everyone to see it. Be sure to bring your checkbook/cash tonight! Our PTO has some amazing items up for bid at the silent auction table. There may even be a chance to bid on a pizza party!



A few more days to go before our carnival on Friday here at Avilla. Carnival will be from 6:00-8:00 with food trucks opening at 5:00. Food trucks will be located near door 7. We can't wait to see everyone there!


Just a reminder that wristband presale orders are due to the office by this Friday, April 21st.


Avilla families, our kindergarten round up event for today has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 27 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

Mrs. Sparkman took her guided reading group outside this morning so students could enjoy the beautiful weather.


Fifth graders are creating magnet mazes in STEM class. Every group idea is different with some very creative themes!






This dynamic duo created horizontal stripe and coral cardigan day! Our school couldn't be what it is without Mrs Flowers and Mrs Rodenbeck.

Congratulations to our Avilla Math Bowl team on their first place finish in today's East Noble elementary competition. All teams were well represented with great coaches and hard working students.
