Good morning families!
Your AVILLA staff would love for you to join in on creating a chalk mural outside of Avilla. Attached is an example of a mural square. Chalk is at the school or you may bring your own. If you'd rather draw your mural at your own home you are more than welcome to and then just send the photo in to me or your child's teacher. If you do plan to go to the school to participate, and other families are there, please remember to use social distancing rules and choose sidewalk squares at-least 6 feet away from others. On Thursday (4/23), I will be taking a video of the finished mural and that will be posted along with all of the other videos and photos sent in. We would love for OUR school to create something together during this time.

Avilla School counselor

Dear Avilla Families, As many of you know, a core value at OUR school is our appreciation for veterans. We have been presented with an opportunity to be recognized as a Purple Star School, and Mrs. Hudson is well on the way to helping us achieve this designation. One of the things we would like to do is to compile an Honor Wall of Veterans who have Avilla School ties. They could be former students, parents of current students, or family members of current or former students. To help us achieve this, we are inviting you to scan, or take a picture of a picture of your family members who have served in the military. Please include their name, branch of service, and dates if possible. We will then print and frame the pictures and begin OUR Wall of Honor. These can be emailed to dpine@eastnoble.net or ahudson@eastnoble.net Thanks for your help in honoring those who served! Dave Pine Proud Principal of Avilla School

Thank you all for our patience!!!
Ann Linson, Superintendent

Today, Dr. McCormick and Gov. Holcomb made a historic decision to close school facilities until the end of the school year. This means we will continue eLearning three days per week to fulfill the school day requirement. We realize this is challenging for everyone; however, the safety of our students and community must be a primary concern.
I realize you must have many questions and, unfortunately, I do not have answers yet. We will continue with the current plan of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday eLearning days. Expect an update from me late Monday (April 6) that will provide you with additional details.
Thank you for your patience. We will get through this, one day at a time.
Ann Linson, Superintendent

ENSC wants a healthy community and kids back in school soon. Stay home when you can, keep your 6 ft distance from others, and flatten the curve.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Boomerang Backpacks in coordination with Pine Hills Church is providing a free grab and go sack lunch to all ENSC students in grades PreK-12th grade Monday through Friday March 16-20. The drive through pick up locations are located at Rome City Elementary, Avilla Elementary, and the Community Learning Center in Kendallville from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Lunches following spring break are to be announced at a later date. THANK YOU to these organizations for supporting our students!

Boomerang Backpacks is finalizing food options for Avilla, RC and Kendallville students in response to our upcoming extended school closure. ENSC will be providing information tomorrow to parents who can utilize Boomerang Backpacks next week.
