 “High Five”

High Fives!

The journey is never ending. There’s always gonna be growth, improvement, adversity; you just gotta take it all in and do what’s right, continue to grow, continue to live in the moment.”

-Antonio Brown-

Not only is this quote from a phenomenal football player on my (principal Stephanie Leasure) favorite NFL team, but this quote describes our very own Angie Sibert at North Side Elementary School. Angie’s passion for the teaching education in her 20th year at North Side is as vivacious as it was her very first year! It is not uncommon for anyone to find Angie’s vehicle at North Side seven days a week and attending as many professional development conferences as she can squeeze into her busy schedule!

If you visit Angie’s classroom, you will become engulfed in the lesson by her sense of humor, animation, enthusiasm, excitement and teaching tactics. It is possible that you may find her standing on a table, wearing a wig, or acting something out to keep her students engaged and interested. Angie is always looking to improve as a teacher. Many times, you will see her implementing something she just learned in PD that same day or the day before. Not only do Angie’s students excel in academic growth and achievement, but they develop socially appropriate relationships and EVERY student just LOVES Mrs. Sibert!!!! Middle and high school students come back to visit their favorite second grade teacher. She is loved so much because she cares so much! Angie goes above and beyond for her student’s families and supports them in all capacities.

The classroom is not the only place where Angie excels, she is on the leadership team, math committee, and leads our National Elementary Honor’s Society. Angie provides a memorable Veteran’s Program each year. You are guaranteed to walk away teary-eyed!

Moreover, Angie Sibert is known all throughout the Kendallville area and outskirt towns as a great mother and wife. Angie is whipping through town to get her children, Kane and Taylor, to sporting events and their own school activities. She and her family love to vacation in warm places or at the lake. Did you know that Angie still slalom skis? She also goes four-wheeling, mushroom hunts, and shoots clay pigeons.

As you can see, Angie Sibert deserves several high fives, she is an “East Noble Knight” through and through! Angie is North Side’s energizer bunny who keeps us all going and going, she is a great colleague and friend to everyone! Congratulations Angie Sibert on this “High Five” Recognition! You deserve it!!!!
